What Transition?

When are you gonna come down
When are you going to land
I should have stayed on the farm
I should have listened to my old man

You know you can't hold me forever
I didn't sign up with you
I'm not a present for your friends to open
This boy's too young to be singing the blues

So goodbye yellow brick road
Where the dogs of society howl
You can't plant me in your penthouse
I'm going back to my plough

Back to the howling old owl in the woods
Hunting the horny back toad
Oh I've finally decided my future lies
Beyond the yellow brick road

What do you think you'll do then
I bet that'll shoot down your plane
It'll take you a couple of vodka and tonics
To set you on your feet again

Maybe you'll get a replacement
There's plenty like me to be found
Mongrels who ain't got a penny
Sniffing for tidbits like you on the ground

-- Elton John

When he said, he will pass the leadership to Najib but will continue to run for President, no one actually believe him.

Then he said he talked to Najib and they have agreed on a transition. But still he was meeting up with branch leaders. Good thing they were adamant to see his withdrawal.

Now he set a date June 2010, but will still run for office. Do anyone believe he can lead this country when he screwed a country that was in sound footing when given to him.

Muhyiddin said its too long a wait. Abdullah's friends are smearing him as desperate. Tun doesn't believe Najib will be successor. Abdullah has other plan. Ku Li just doesn't believe party position to be treated like a throne. Sanusi unravel the insiduous manouvring.

To answer Rocky's question, I don't buy it

What reform can he undertake, when he didn't even bring to court two corruption files involving an existing Minister and a recently awarded Tan Sri?

What openness, when he manipulated the media strictly for his family purpose?

What poverty eradication, when his corporate reform and poor economic sectoral development put Malayians on the unemployment line by the tens of thousands?

He just wants to stay on for selfish reasons. Najib spoke too much and giving wrong vibes.

In the meanwhile, Anwar will chop Najib for him. Opposition is helping to chip in to preserve Abdullah for later.

Tun said the ball is at your feet. Its up to you to do something.

Be it Najib, Ku Li or Muhyiddin, support anyone challenging the UMNO Presidency!

Hello Voice,

If those are your speculations, then I might as well keep for my food of thought. But If your statement were not truth, then it would be a bad rumor to others.

Speculations are speculations. There is no wrong in doing it. Its a people's opinion voice out based on their undertanding and their resource received from others.

My stand is based on others too. But I rather not choose neither of them because those aren't really truth to happen yet.

In these 2 years, what do you think AAB will contribute to the country?

In a bad perspective, it was like you mentioned. But for a good perspective, I think that pak lah will concentrate on reforms Now he does not have to worry about being popular with power brokers anymore. He can concentrate on what the rakyat wants which is the reformations in the country.

Currently the judicial is being reform. Perhaps police, ACA, education and economy subsidies will be reform as well.

Source from www.malaysiakini.com has revealed that ACA is going under reformation process.

The Anti-Corruption Agency has been granted full prosecution powers which will allow the agency to open a case and proceed with it until the matter is brought before the court.

At present, the agency has to refer its completed investigations to the Attorney General's Chambers to decide on whether the case could be taken to court.

This dramatic change - which will give the agency more bite and do away with the long-held complaints of its lack of independence - was announced today in a brief statement by the ACA in Putrajaya.

The agency said that this new move would allow it to efficiently and effectively investigate corruption cases.

This will also remove the negative perception that it was the AG's Chambers that was delaying the prosecution of high-profile cases involving politically connected individuals.

The new powers will also boost the government's image in fighting corruption.

"Indirectly this will increase the people's trust in the ACA," said the statement.

ACA also said that to implement the change, the AG's Chambers will second a senior officer to be a director at the anti-corruption agency, giving him the powers to prosecute cases.

This officer will report directly to the ACA chief.

This is just one reformation done. But, who knows what will exactly happen to the country in the next 2 years?

I see it as a positive step to stabalize the party and hopefully with that, BN as well. Then he can push through the reforms he has in mind more vigorously without so much fear of being dropped like a hot potato by his own party. really, what good are speculations like that?

Dr Novandri in his blog displays a countdown, it's gonna be 721 days. But please God, I can't stand this sleepyhead even for just another day.

Wisdomthinker/Timmy

Do you realised how ridiculous it is for him to announce passing of baton?

His already 18 month over extended mandate runs out in December 2008. His passing a baton he already not had yet.

In his 5 years, he messed up a country that was fine when passed to him. What tangible thing has he done in 5 years?

What made you think he can do any reform in 24 months? Care to read Lim Kit Siang's Can Abdullah deliver reforms in 24 months which he failed to do in five years?
